This Fluar model was developed for specific requirements in UV microscopy. Quartz glass is consistently used in the production of this objective. Ultrafluar objectives feature excellent transmission already from 240 nm up to the IR range, and thus for the widest spectral range. Image flatness is sufficiently good up to a field of 20 mm.
